Gougane Barra is one of the many beautiful sights to be seen within a short distance from us. Others include; Carrignacurra Castle, Mass Rock, Macroom Castle, Glengarriff, and The Ring of Kerry. We are also but 30 miles from a choice of several safe beaches.

Loch Allua Lakes are a six-mile chain of lakes providing plenty of activity; Fishing, Boating, Swimming and leisured sight-seeing. Numerous Trout streams flow down the mountains into these lakes. All the little roads from the village lead to the mountains, with pleasant or stiff climbs within easy reach.
